Thanks Msaxmatt3…unfortunately, I’m having some problems with the music box on this clock now…it just keeps going and going

oh, well the little pin isn’t closing in right
on a little dial in it.

the best way to get it fixed is take it to someone who knows what a healthy musical cuckoo clock would be like on the inside.

To run right and not overly wear, they should be oiled about once a year and cleaned every 3 to 5 years. It might be just dry or the rod that goes on the chainwheel of the music box isn’t seating.
Also lots of companies made this type of clock. It is a nice clock but you can’t tell who made it without looking at the movement.
Also have you seen your “expert’s” videos and read the descriptions? 1935 for his “Antique small cuckoo clock”. More like 1975.
Take what he says with a grain of salt.

If the movement was never cleaned, the gears on the governor fan probably stripped. They are replaceable and if you haven’t got this nice little clock going right yet, you should look into it.
