During lunch I struck up a conversation with a guy who happened to be selling some antique clocks that he had inside his car. It turns out the guy sells stuff at the flea-market and he is a regular seller. He gets stuff all the time he said; and when I looked in the back of his car, he was not talking crap because the clocks where nice, old, and some probably valuable.

I have been thinking of selling stuff on eBay, but have no idea what the clocks are worth. (I got the guys phone number.) I basically do NOT know how to make a deal with this guy. I want to strike a deal with this vendor, not just for the clocks, but for all his antiques. But, I can’t ask a stranger to front the clocks while I try to find a buyer on eBay; on the other hand I can not offer him cash with no idea what they are worth. An end buyer is going to pay much more (I think) than local pawn shops and antique dealers he was trying to sell to. How can I make a deal with this stranger? (he's comp. illiterate)
