Cuckoo clock stores were everywhere and the "i" was super easy to find! So, we parked and Layton and Jana went to find a place to stay. We left the parents at the shopping. Before we walked out of the store, Jim & Willa Jana AND Judy had bought clocks and were shipping them home! WJ and Jim had to carry the weights for the clock they bought!!! Crazy! The town was sort of dead at night, but we were able to find a place to serve us our usual schnitzel and wurst and yes....desserts! The next morning we visited the World's largest cuckoo clock and even got to go inside the working parts which was pretty cool. We also went to the town hall to see some wood carvings that were pretty random. (We learned that town hall is rathaus in German.) Then, we drove up to the wasserfall (waterfall) which is Germany 's largest waterfall. We treated ourselves with lunch and the traditional Black Forrest cake at Schafer Cafe who has been making it from a recipe that was created in 1905! It was none of our FAVORITES but it was really yummy. RANDOM Layton , Judy and Jana got a lesson on "real" cuckcoo clocks. We found out that traditional cuckcoo clocks have a specific bird. I am planning a trip to Germany for August of this year. We are staying in Munich and looking into a day trip into the Black Forest to sample local fare and purchase a cuckoo clock. We want to stay away form tourist attractions and follow the less-beaten path. Any ideas on small towns to go to? Distances from Munich? Ect.
Any other great day trips form Munich would also be appreciated! Thanks!

i have i think a hunters cuckoo clock fron the black forest but i donk know what it is.
it has a single gun on the botton underlaping a hunting sack or bag, it was a fox on the right side of the cuckoo in the middle and a bird maybe a cuckoo on the right side
it has two cross branches tipical in many cuckoos on the botton sides and has leaves all around , im hot sure about the head peace because its been in are family for a while and it has been lost of somthing. it is probavly very old .can anyone tellme what it is. please i need real help here.
i have looked all over the web and i cant find and info about it please help.

On our recent trip to Germany, we spent several days in the Black Forest. Of course, I had to get a cuckoo clock. I had it shipped, and it arrived on Friday. This way, I can stop the pendulum and make "Time Stand Still!"
