As soon as i got the idea that i wanted to make a loop this song was the one that came to my mind. 3 simple chords and a combined total of 64 note blocks. The button on the left starts the loop. If the lever to the right is activated it stops at the end of the loop, if not it repeats! OK, here is a little fun. My playing is a bit messier even than usual but I want to compare these two mandolas on a tune. The tune I picked is the famous and well-known My Grandfather's Clock by Henry Clay Work. The tune has been very well known since the 1870's, but perhaps more important is effect of the song on the type of clock it was written about -- ie, the grandfather's clock. Work named his tune after a tall standing clock owned by a person in a story he had heard -- before his song this type of clock had many names. eg, case clocks, coffin clocks, standing clocks, upright clock, long clocks, and other names. But after the song became popular these clocks all became known as Grandfather's Clocks. Work also wrote the famous song The Wreck of the old Ninety-Seven. This is the mandola comparison -- first I play the tune on a 2008 Eastman MDA-815 and then the same way on a 1915 Gibson H-1. The Eastman is a scroll style f-hole and the Gibson an A-style, oval hole. The Eastman has maple backs and sides the Gibson mahogany -- both have carved spruce tops. What do you think? BTW the comparison is not perfect as the brand of strings is not the same on both instruments -- but I'm just doing it for fun anyway.

Hey my name is Mitch I've been playing guitar for 2 years. I figured this song out on my own about 2 days ago so the tab might not be exactly right. But it's pretty close. This song is by Coldplay it's called Clocks. The intro is piano but I played it on guitar. I'm 11 years old.

Movement marked DRGM (Deutsches Reich Gebrauchmuster) which dates it to before 1945. I bought it online as"tested,working great". It did not even chime when the hands were turned. I had to dismantle the entire clock, clean, oil, and adjust the movement and reassemble everything. The crest needed the two loops replaced that holds it to the roofline(it had one large staple in one side). It also needed the bellows releathered and a matching minute hand was replaced by me. It is a 3 train, turntable, large fan, lyre type count wheel movement with a Thornes music movement. These are quite rare and hard to find. The weights are quite heavy and only run the clock for one day. This one is fully adjusted now and oiled ready for many more cuckoos. The little people come out every 30 minutes to dance around twice, hand in hand, before going back inside waiting to celebrate the next half hour. The case is 19 1/2" by 13 3/4". It has a nice large pendulum with a very long swing. You can see it dwarfs the 9" cuckoo that is hanging beside it for the moment.

Well, another one from Cuckoo clocks of hell... man, that album is one of my favorites... i tried to do the album version, but as you can see, the guitar solo at the end is diferent beacuse it would take so long to transcribe it, as it happen with "one tooth of the time train"..
